Well that’s a bit of a disappointing RNS and a tad cryptic. Any thought on the driver of that?
Poor extraction rates from first effort?
I got you DJ. TBH I think each of gold (here) copper, nickel and others will have their day. There's no way you can do printing/QE on this scale and get away with it without inflation. My main bugbear is inflation is hidden from the public. My daughter is wondering why driving lessons just went up 20% (in one year) as she is considerting starting. I'm trying to get her head round inflation (what the govts want people to hear) and inflation (what it really is). You can always design your inflation basket so it looks good. Now put your iphone (insert latest version here) in the basket and you have a different number.
Trying to pick your next up and coming companies in each commodity / precious metal is a very sound place to be invested IMO. GRL is hopefully one of these. Did somebody mention gold pour imminently :) Exciting stuff.
dj how do you know you're catching me up. You don't know what I'm invested in :) But you're probably right a lot of my positions are fairly flat. But ready for a good re-rate! Q2 is actually massive, I'm expecting news on all 4 of my main holdings, GRL included. Best case scenario is my net worth is double at the end of June what it is now. Now that would be very pleasant!
GRL specifically obviously we await company news but one of the reasons I like the idea of gold caught my eye today. Biden apparently under pressure to write off (some) student loans. Apparently the total US student loans owing is $1.4tn. Now that is money somebody printed, gave to students to study, who incurred the debt, and now the debt may vanish into thin air. Makes you realise why investing in something (which isn't fiat currency) is essential to preserve wealth. I make no comment on whether students should or shouldn't incur debt I have my views. But I'm very clear on what govs should or shouldn't print and IMHO (only) it is faaaaaar too easy to print the stuff and dish it out. One day, the fat lass sings. GLA
I think the opposite actually - the higher price will make it easier to buy (as necessarily it will draw sellers). However, obviously, buyers will be buying a lot higher! So if you want them at this price probably best buy what you can. But agree this is very tightly held when I've bought it has been difficult to get in any quantity.
I think generally the higher price will improve liquidity but of course during the rerate it will be hard to buy, without paying over ask. GLA
I imagine it will be a whole lot more difficult (and expensive) to buy in a few weeks time.......
Very difficult to buy anything today, very very little available! Can't help but think this is going to fly when gold pour news comes out, although I think the announcement of the updated DEP will be equally as important in pushing the price higher.. I wonder when we are to expect the updated DEP?
Looking like we could have another blue day (and another day closer to first pour!)...
Hold for gold!
You are rarely going to get news to a timeline given by any mining company as you know. Considering there is a fair amount to do to set up Homase for the first gold pour, it's Africa , Covid is still around and they are reliant on equipment being delivered, I think we can give Emma a couple of weeks' grace.
Disappointed that the ' gold pour within 2 months' has now passed and there has been no confirmation. Perhaps they are waiting for assay results before releasing an RNS. Seems reasonable.
Spread has closed right up. 12.21 to sell on HL. MM's trying to tempt a few into selling with buyers waiting maybe. Watch for those afternoon rises like before the permit news dropped.
Confident that they are delivering as we speak, but as shown from previous RNSs there can be a good few weeks delay until we find out (EP). ?? only a matter of time IMO.
gold producer in a matter of weeks so somewhat surprised peeps aren't getting in now whilst the share price is so cheap...
With covid and getting things up and running I would say more by end of month/ beginning of next... main thing is that it is coming and grl is going to be big!!
DYOR
GRL
They must inform us soon either way even if there is a delay - quietly confident though
Well this was the week / period it was said we would get news of a gold pour . . Who’s confident?
