Hi earthling
I read last week in the Times BHP want to takeover Solgold.
But what would happen (if like someone mentioned this morning ) NCM offer 50p for GGP, there would be one almighty stampede and Solgold left in the dust.
GGP is the safest place to be
Good luck
Earthling, that's not fair enough - that's classic!
Bamps, earthling is correct. SOLG will never remain independent.
BHP have been constrained by an agreement not to act in a hostile manner - this agreement expires on October 15th. It's inconceivable they will not buy what is the largest copper discovery for years - and that doesn't even take into account the gold, silver and multiple other concessions.
Not without its risks, but a great deal of value to be had if the predictions from brokers, corporate financiers and the industry are to be believed.
Bamps,
thats fair enough re SOLG, but if you look into it, you will see that many are expecting a take over there, BHP the fav.
Somebody asked me last night to compare Solgold mine with Havieron.
Had a quick look
Grades look lower than Havieron
Tonnage is higher
A lot of silver
Timeline plan handover of mine to operations after commissioning end of 2025/26.
That's 5-6 years Big Gulp.
I stopped looking not for me .
Just to add to my post last night
Fortesque 35 km south of Telfer still in early stage exploration
MetalsX - Nifty mine in care and maintenance. Study commissioned to get it up and running with major infrastructure spend.
Open pit - study to look at expanding the exhausted oxide resources and the heap leach fascility
Sulphide copper chalcopyrites below suitable for stoping , concentrate plant needs refurbishment.
Only 10 years left but copper grades at 1.2% no gold grades
Havieron is unique, massive, good grades and will probably outlive most of us, so why look elsewhere, baffles me
you missed out Cascabel/SOLG
Thanks Bamps for a solid sensible post; they are few and far between the past couple days.
This must be how contestants of 'Who wants to be a millionaire' feel when they reach £500,000 Dodge. The amount is already life changing. One more question right...a cool million. Get it wrong and it's fish and chip suppers again.
Eek!
Cheers Bamps. The house is very bare now! A great pity about the cancelled meet up. It would have been truly buzzing what with the week we are having and what will occur on Monday but hey ho.
Monday we hit the road too. Lady Mush watching the sp on google like a hawk. Couple of nights wild camping. Wednesday we start to cross the sea. Lucky Britanny Ferries are still running. They are not doing as well as GGP. Not by a long chalk.
Good post Mush. It’s a strange feeling at the moment. I’d say I’m more uneasy at these levels than when we were trying to break 12p. It feels like the sword of Damocles is about to descend. When we first surged up to 15p it was “wow, put the champagne on ice”, after 8 consecutive days of stellar rises I was a bit “meh”. The decisions I envisaged making at this level are now very real, not a distant dream. All a bit strange I know, but my default position is I’ll think about it tomorrow. Now, tomorrow is here and I’m finding it difficult to believe that this **** is real.
Nurse..
.....NURSE!!!
Hi Mush
I quite agree not enough solid posts at the moment.
I'm very disappointed we couldn't meet up on Saturday was looking forward to it.
I hope your move to Portugal goes well, wish you all the best :))
It's amazing how much I feel the need for a solid post like that Bamps. I don't know but this huge growth over a few days leading up to this major index purchase makes the GGP share seem like a hot potato. Re-focus needed. Fundamentals. Overall journey. MRE...that's the one.
Well I have tried to keep up with this board I'm finding it hard.
Too many posters coming here asking advice about other companies, well I can tell you I can't keep up with this company's research.
What have we got at Havieron a multi million oz resource that I reckon is 13m oz min gold and possibly 10-12m oz gold equivalents (copper etc)
The copper according to GH has a consistent 0.45% grade.
What are the other big mine resources around:-
Forget Artemis still in pre exploration .
Newcrest/ Antipa Early stage exploration plus a mine at Chicken Ranch where the gold quantities are less than 100,000oz
Winu - Rio/ Antipa Copper mine with grades 0.2% and early stage gold exploring.
Telfer gold mine. multi- million oz
and copper grades 0.1%
Can you see what I'm getting at, GGP have a once in a lifetime resource that probably won't be replicated again in many of our lifetimes.
No wonder Newcrest are falling over themselves to get the mine going, they've got it on the cheap. By heavens thank goodness they have or we would still be looking at the sand dunes.
