No big panic here!
Personally, the fact Lopinavir/ritonavir has been pulled from the Solidarity trial only serves to strengthen Farons position with IF-B1a.
If, and If, IF-B1a didn’t work, then surely it would of been pulled from Solidarity, Remap-Cap & Discovery. Also, why have we been recently been added to Hisbiccus Trial?
Just to reiterate, no one has said anywhere that interferon beta 1a is off the WHO solidarity trials.
Without doubt there were a number of large sells the back end of the week. My small £2.5k top up was shown as a sell. I honestly believe that a number of the large sells are actually buys.
If there’s a massive sell of tomorrow, which i don’t believe there will be, i’d expect an intraday RNS to steady the ship.
Itsall , that article ref the Philippines is absolutely great news if true .
Knowing our predictions , maybe the SP will jump up tomorrow , as more info will get leaked as to whats going on , and Interferons are getting more of the spotlight , as more of these anti viral drugs are found ineffective .
And when looking at Interferons , the MS drugs have been tried first , as they are known to work fairly well with MS , but when it comes to lung failure , the I/V route is proven to work better , and that's US !. Jury is still out on the nebulized form , although I've got a few quid on SNG too , as the bar is set so low , any whisker of improvement over placebo will send those shares racing .
No point getting our panties in a bunch about what we don't know lol
Its... all pending on the arms the 4 arms i know of in the solidarity trail are
1.Remdisiver
2.Hydroxy(stopped)
3.Lopinavir/ritonavir(stopped)
4 Lopinavir/ritonavir with interferon(stopped)
The current news going around(solidarity trail)is they have stopped 2- 3-4 ...
"After the inclusions in the hydroxychloroquine arm stopped, both arms testing the lopinavir/ritonavir combination with or without interferon beta were stopped in the Solidarity and Discovery clinical trials. Given the adaptive nature of the Solidarity trial and its European Discovery “daughter” trial, a reflection is underway on the evolution of the protocol. Publications in international peer-reviewed journals are in preparation concerning both the evaluation of hydroxychloroquine and lopinavir/ritonavir."
But this looks promising for remdesiver and interferon cant quite decipher the last sentence either it means
"A communication in the form of publications in international peer-reviewed journals will detail the results. In addition, given the adaptive nature of the Solidarity trial and its European “daughter” trial Discovery, a reflection is underway on the evolution of the protocol. In addition to the ongoing evaluation of Remdesivir and interferon, this includes the possibility of testing new treatments"
Cant decipher the last sentence either it means new testing for remsdiver and interferon or some sort new drug .
Let see whay monday brings, looks like it will be massive carnage 1st thing... hopefully Faron release a RNS to steady the ship and its position in the trails

I think the concern is because it has not been mentioned before that Interferon would be run on its own.
Hopefully this weekend will be the start of it being tested solo.
When they say this below:
"This leaves antiviral remdesivir and the Interferon beta-1a drug used to treat multiple sclerosis among experimental drugs being used for clinical trials in the Philippines and in other countries"
It's very possible the other experimental drugs they are refering to is Traumakine!
Very interesting if true, and a massive step forward for us to be used as a stand alone!
“Vergiere said following the development, the DOH will now have “remdesivir plus interferon as the new regimen, vs remdesivir alone (and) vs interferon alone, and standard of care once shipment of interferon arrives.””
Have I missed something here?
No one has said anywhere that interferon beta 1a is off the WHO solidarity trials.

Remdesivir, an antiviral drug originally meant to treat Ebola, has shown to have treating effects on the coronavirus
