easyJet are a household name all over europe. I live on a flightpath near Edinburgh and the only planes I've seen flying so far are EZJ. I am very confident this will recover well, but not overnight. £12.5-13 low target in a 1.5-2 year timeframe is my anticipation.
There were always going to be different recovery times for different sectors and logically aerospace and travel will be among the slowest to pick back up, but they absolutely certainly will pick back up. The only question is to what extent for each individual business. EZJ is strongly positioned to weather the time to recover. Patience is all that is required here.
Alas Smith..seen share gradually rise and that rise eliminated in one day watched EZJ rise day after day by over a pund a day so wow sooner see that at least a one day drop can be absorbed and at least a chance to sell with a profit watch EZJ rise and regain confidence in the next six months..
Reppyr, although the UK have made important concession to UK travellers insofar as quarantine is concerned, Europe has not changed its stance towards visitors from the UK. It is that which is suppressing any substantial uplift in the share price, I suggest.
I tend to be nervous of wild swings in share prices that are not accompanied by news. Sharp rises are often followed by sharp falls, so my preference is for share price movement to be gradual and preferable over a very long time. Holdings of mine, for instance that demonstrate such pattern include THRG, CRDA, CGI, ASML and many others. FWIW, I am more comfortable in averaging my holding up, something I have recently done with MTU and TSTL.
All I target from my portfolio is an overall rise each month of 1.75%, which, compounded is a very healthy annual return on capital invested.
Water in the fuel
Inbound rocket ! why is it down ?
Rocket rise tomorrow
But how much are you down smithy? ANSWER THE QUESTION!!!!
You can't! Because everyone would be laughing at you even more! You are down the most!
You deserve whats happening to you! Karma! Bully has lost all his money! Hahahaha
rednwhitestripes - best not to feed any troll - I suspect you are referring to A.smithy who has a habit of throwing insults like confetti. That contributor is displaying many of the strategies of manipulation as described by Noam Chomsky

Back to the business of EZJ. I am very grateful for the maiden, measured and authoratative contribution by Hejt.
What's your loss on your 520p open short Smithy? Love the fact you are on here crying because you can't afford to close!!!!!!!!
4- 5 holidays a year ? Your 2 days on the Isle of Wight doesn't really constitute a holiday does it ?
You really are an obnoxious individual. Is it possible you can make 1 constructive post without insulting someone? or pretending you are some sort of big shot - Go on - i dare you , try it.
Thank you to all the other people on here who give interesting insights into the Stock Market - it is appreciated
You are of course absolutely correct on all fronts, why? Because you know the business from inside and Alas is also on the money. This £5 thing is a recurrent wet dream of the local simpleton, literally the second time we go through this Xmas business. I always wondered who was the 1 person who supported his comments, now we know. I filtered him about 10 days ago as I had just found out you could, now just a green line amongst pertinent comments. Back to what really matters, Ezy has cash, planes, pilots and markets. Beaches are full of Europeans flying Ezy. The domestic flights are packed and the potential recovery is huge, very well positioned on the market. Is it straightforward? No, but definitely happening. They have managed their costs, secured their debts and are positioned to be stronger airline post pandemic I'm sure you will be back on a seat in no time and we will make out of it. Also just filter the idiot, I expect most of have now...
Have to say...i'm agreeing with Smithy having been bullish before...£7 a certainty...£5 hmmm?
Many ppl will be thinking ahead for Xmas.
Holidays abroad will be fading out of the equation.
I try not to post on here because I actually find simply reading these threads interesting and it’s useful getting other’s perspectives on the current situation. However, A.Smithy.. I really have become tired of your constant negativity (I can infer you’ve shorted this stock quite heavily) and it’s just a drag to come on here and always see your name pop up with the same old dribble. Please don’t refresh these forums every minute and post inaccuracies. You sound exactly like my previous airline which I was made redundant from ‘sorry chaps, we’re making you pilots redundant because we don’t think we’ll ever had the passenger demand back’.. those statements are only said when there’s an alternative motive behind it. It is not useful and is not true. So please.. don’t make these forums lose their purpose.
FYI - airlines don’t worry about winters, they carry a surplus of crew and aircraft, adjust their flying schedules and accept less profits. Already, they will be looking ahead to Summer 2022 for planning their business. Things are NOT going backwards and whilst it’s not as great as what we’d like to see, I’m hearing some positivity from others who remain with such airlines.
We’re all in this together, not to make accusations and fight across forums but to get out of this pandemic so those who have lost careers, livelihoods and families in this industry can hopefully get back to normal. And if I personally make some money on the side from which I have lost in earnings, that’s a bonus.
Absolute tripe with no foundation to support such contention. In case you had missed it, the UK is one of the countries that has rolled out full vaccine to most of the adult population and will, it is forecast, by the end of September have offered vaccine to all adults in the UK. Mainland Europe is not actually that far behind.
So what does that mean in terms of the economy? Well, it means that the UK is very much focussed in getting the workforce back to work and business back to the grindstone. It also means that money is pouring into those sectors that have been particularly badly hit from the pandemic - tourism, hospitality and, of course, airlines. £5 by Christmas - more chance of a private audience with either of the current Popes.
EasyJet as an airline operates out of many countries NOT just UK. Sure, the UK is one that I expect you are most familiar with, but if that really is the extent of your research, go on, short sell shares in this company and take a beating.
Oddly enough, one of the lessons I have learned since I began investing in 1979 was that although I am content to risk money and prepared to lose everything, the intention is to grow my wealth. That does not happen overnight, nor does it happen unless holdings are sold. I might not be the sharpest knife in the block, but I am certainly not stupid.
If your entire argument is based on the price of oil, it is a pretty shallow one. The price of oil is based on supply and demand. As the world returns to work, demand is high. Oil producing countries will increase supply to take advantage of high prices, and, guess what? Yep, the price will fall.
In the meanwhile, I am treating you as I would fresh coffee, best filtered. Ciao.
I,m not quite sure I read smithy's last post correctly , no profit next year and unlikely in the following year , surely not , maybe wishful thinking , I feel they'll make profit next year and beyond but debt will be a major factor and how they deal with that for me is the real question
As mentioned before the holiday season will be over in a few weeks. Most families will holiday closer to home despite more countries going on Amber list.
Double vax will be looking for a short getaway perhaps in September but with all the testing that comes with the holidays I fear for the profitability of EZJ not to mention the high fuel cost.
