My average of 3.1p means I'd cope either way! I do see Eve prospering long-term.
DG, I think I would sell on buy out between 8-10p. (its easy to say no while its all hypothetical but if you are looking at a 5 fold increase say from 2p-10p, then I imagine it would concentrate the mind wonderfully!)
My 17p-25p needs a lot of water to flow under the bridge, so in the absence of a bid and with good progress in sept update then I would stay in.
NOT to blow it all (of course!)
Wyndrum, would you appreciate a buy-out? Wouldn't that scupper 17p/25p hopes? I don't really know how these things work. If September goes as well as we are all thinking and hoping, Eve would be able to borrow if they wanted to, and very low rates of interest. And CC seems sensible enough to to blow it all.
I never really understood that proposed merger / reverse takeover with Simba. Where would that have left pi's? Shareholders or enforced sellers at a low price?
Hi Lemmy, I guess that's my point in a nutshell, why would you wait if you don't have to? Extra funds could be put into France and maybe Europe, into the US, even more TV advertising or whatever has worked in the UK, to trade on what is now, becoming a genuinely successful brand? As I say, it's likely rubbish on my part.
Hi Wyndrum, I don't really see it that way. In this market profitable growth is everything. Buying market share is over the top. Eve have already built a high quality brand with 15% of the population. Is an oak less valuable because it grows slowly?
Not that Eve is growing slowly
Could a buy out be coming? I can't exactly put my thumb on it but the large stake bought last week from the US has got the cogs turning. If it is the prelude, I would expect it soon after a positive update in September (assuming its all good and more progress is being made). I think it would be around 8p-10p (which is quite a spread, I know), but the fact is Eve are cash strapped. Its ok to have that money in the bank to ensure the company stays afloat but it severely hampers further investment to propel market share expansion quickly. A buy out from a wealthy company would allow that new entity to take advantage of the groundwork put in and to capitalise on it. I don't know, but I do have a feeling about this....just my opinion. Probably rubbish
