Pawn,
I don't know your background but from what you put I'm not sure you understand the concept of 'single point of failure (spof)'.
Spof doesn't relate to the capacity of the washer crusher, but the fact that there is only one of them. Even if it can process 100,000 tonnes a month if there is only one then its a spof. Just as if there is only one digger, then that is a spof. If they stick with one washer crusher they better have a shed load of spare parts, especially in the productive dry season.
From what I heard, the wash plant initially struggled with the fines going through. They added a pre screen which resolved the problem but it removed around 40% of the feed. With around 25% of the washplant throughput going to waste (mudstone) and a strip ratio of 3:1 then over 6t of material needs to be moved to produce 1t of washed coal. Not a bad number but the bottleneck will still be mining. Need to move 60kt to produce 10kt of washed coal.
Genuine question sausage.
EDL believe their washplant has a capacity of 12,000 tonnes/month far in excess of what they need so why do you state its their single point of failure?
"the company has taken control of mining operations and started to use its current capital to invest in the
equipment needed to boost production towards peak wash plant capacity which has been advised is excess of 12,000 tonnes per month."
Diggerman
Are you happy they have just one washer crusher or do you think they need to sort out this single point of failure?
Hopefully they will now invest in the required equipment which is what I've been saying from the start. 4 trucks to 1 excavator and a minimum of 2 excavators and this could start moving. Spend the capital, don't rent, operating costs should be low and profits will come.
No haven't seen that will take a look thanks.
Alastair certainly spent plenty of time over there - not sure if you were here when he did that excellent marketing video on his phone.....November last year - it's on our Twitter feed
Take it they made a point of this
"It is the intention of the incoming executive Board members to spend significant time in Tanzania and retain and relocate certain experienced personnel from other existing African coal operations, which they are associated with, to Tanzania. A more comprehensive update on this will be provided in the near future."
Because the old board were never there?
Well, look at the positives. We, finally, have a change in the BoD which at least gives us some chance of making our operations work.
Simple task ahead for them - they just need to deliver those sales numbers. GLA
How far away is that, It's obvious to me that that the promised update is what the market is waiting for, It will impact the SP. The new board members seem to have focus and a business plan to work with.
Having said that the dry season is continuing and as at this moment in time has not been taken advantage of, Let's hope that the update is sooner rather than later.
