Deep,
Whilst its good of you to ask your mate I'd be surprised if he/she would divulge any information if they new something. These things are subject to confidentiality and NDA agreements until information is released to the markets by the companies involved. Anything other is inside information which can lead to insider trading etc. We all know that goes on of course and anyone can start a rumour these days even you or I.
My own view is that that's a good while away. At least a year or so. Like us on this board there will be interested parties looking to see how this rapid expansion strategy plays out financially. The first indication will be in a few weeks but it's really the next financial year for me that will tell us and any interested parties a lot more.
A learning experience each and every time. Thanks Chelsea.
As one of the contributors commented earlier, the SP continues to hover around the 33p mark without any further sharp drops and fingers crossed it will creep back up towards the mid and hopefully the higher 30s sooner rather than later.
With an update due fairly imminently and the Board pressing ahead with opening new depots, lockdown easing (although that's not a certainty), Schroders, etc, I in fact increased my holding by a small amount as my confidence in DXs performance continues to grow.
Unfortunately I still haven't been able to get any information on any potential acquisition/merger and frankly having given up on asking my 'mate'.
Onwards and upwards and GLA. : )
Deep - the mid point price of the Bid / Ask spread the trade comes down on will determine if a trade is classed by the system as a Buy or Sell. Problem comes when there are differences in Bid / Ask spreads.
Agree with you re SP being 32.75 Chelsea. That's what it says on my share dealing account too.
Any idea why such fairly consistent mistakes such as incorrect SP &/or buys showing as sells and vice versa?
SP not correct on here. 32.75 on my platform and also elsewhere.
The good news is that to this point, the SP hasn’t slipped back too far, so the support is there. 3 weeks until an update is not at all long to wait. Still possible other news will land ahead of that. New Depot, Director Buy (or Sell for balance) etc. Relaxed here.
The way I see it, lost packages/poor customer service are the equivalent of a virus.
The Board, being the vaccine, merely attempts to reduce the risk of contracting the virus.
There will never quite be a cure, although the hope is that the planned booster jabs will reduce the chances of further infections taking hold.
As I read and imbibe comments made by experienced 'players', my understanding improves immensely and for that I am very grateful.
Ports your view as always strikes a sweet note.
Yes I agree Ports and whilst Lowser felt the need to post his/her negative experience on a Share BB (having also done the same in March btw), there is the more general perspective required that tens of thousands of customers are happy with the service. Roll on mid-July for that perspective.
Whislt missing packages and lack of customer service is disappointing.... it's not exclusive to DX. Millions of packages each year go missing with all carriers.. UPS, DHL, Royal Mail the lot. It's only natural in a high volume/low margin business. It's why I have always said that it is a very big ask in DX's case to provide super duper, best in class service and I personally don't think it is achievable especially in Express. Freight is a different story.
But we are not investing in the product, we're investing in the directors to enhance shareholder value and so far they have delivered.
i am a bit p-----d off that i have ordered 2 seperate parcels that both were being delivered by dx and they lost them !!!!! customer service are waste of space, havent got a clue, tracking is crap,no updates.oh oh dear
Thanks Chelsea - must have been in the back of my mind.
Was confirmed in the last Trading Update:
The Board will provide a further update on trading and prospects in mid-July 2021
Loads of today's sells have been shown as buys, so the drop, though steep, is not quite as bad as this website would make out.
The recent interest from Schroders, which gave the shares a nice lift, seems to have been forgotten though. Investors seem to have no patience either - the next update can't be far away...mid-July possibly.
Surprisingly steep drop in the SP today, particularly given the rest of the Industrial Transportation sector seems ok. No RNS to this point either.
Hopefully support will come in and the SP will recover through this week.
