Bit sexist there SG I look after my son as much as my wife and the petrol comment is ludicrous,
Anyway... I sell cars and we are busy buddy, there’s no concern about petrol! Also as a comparison to Cine the car sales process at times can take well over an hour in a face to face environment with masks on for us and the customer, they are not put off by it and footfall has been epic, people want to get out there and spend their cash, along with eat out to help out this month the UK cinemas will have financial churn until the US reopens, and before we see a copy and paste link about rising Covid cases in the US, future lockdowns will be localised so the rest of the estate can still trade! Add to that films like Tenet in the pipeline the bucks will come back, as many have said Cinema is an experience, an escape from the VoD if you like, if the future of films is all about VoD the studios will surely suffer big losses on merch sales too, Disney have said Mulan is a one off and when Star Wars comes out watching it at home would be a poor show! I don’t think Mooky will agree a VoD deal but if he did (which could still happen) it would be negotiated better than the AMC deal! IMO GLA
@shorterguy
I stopped reading your comment after you said “Disney doesn’t agree with you” and “mother can look after their children”.
What a load of mumbo jumbo, tripe, as I told you before.
You still never answered my question using your logic. Since people have to wear masks, will people stop eating and stop going to shops for food?
ShorterGuy. Thanks for that essay on why streaming is going to kill off cinema. Because we all know that mothers love watching films on TV while they have screaming children in ther background or foreground instead of dressing up and going to a large cinema screen with their friends and watching a film in peace ????????????? I'll give a D for little research and sounding very desperate. Must try harder.
All for just 30 dollars. (Or disney reduce the price but then they need even more of their subscribers to pay up to get close to breaking even).
That's the comms I've heard has been given to staff, because of social distancing in screens, like a cafe or rstaurant customers can remove in screens. It's just in places where close contact occurs. Not like the government not to be clear.
Government rules permit face coverings can be removed to consume food and drink.
The notion behind face masks is when you enter, access shared walk ways and in the lobby. When you sit down with your food you can remove.

Shorter guy your comment below shows great logic and thought process. Sometime best to read it over before you post it.
“@zorro197916
It's a hassle nobody needs. This is the genius move behind Disney.”
See on your logic, I wonder if everyone is going to stop eating and going to the supermarket To buy messages, all because they have to wear a face mask..? I’ve never heard so much tripe in all my life, constant deramping to suit your agenda.
You really are a waste of the white stuff.
You enter and start eating your nachos. Do you think there will be a cinema covid mask police going around?
I bet as soon as the light off people will pulled it off. Lol
Shorter it’s embarrassing mate - just to watch you - how can you feel no shame. 99% of those on this thread are literally laughing at you LOL. 9 years of investing I have never come across someone with such little self respect for themselves hahaha
I don't fancy sitting through any film with a face covering on...think ill save my money. Did go to a drive in cinema the other evening and we really enjoyed it.
Not good news, not deramping just my opinion
