People have definitely had enough of sitting at home with no entertainment. I think we’ll all be surprised when cinemas reopen. £1 will be reached before 31st July I reckon with a few obstacles but don’t forget when people start their monthly memberships again, that’s a high influx of cash.
Yes there is people that are still s**t scared of Covid, but the truth is people generally have had enough of the lockdown now, so they don't care, they are dying to get out and have some sort of a life again, further easing will just fuel the need, just look at recent events that's enough evidence....
we're going to need masks over here too.
Yeh I saw the interview - he is a numpty. Total joke, but at least it's a start!
Trump is an ass - He said "I wore a black mask and looked like the Lone Ranger " Fact - the Lone Ranger never wore a mask covering his nose and mouth - he wore a mask covering his eyes only - Trump should stop talking and give his brain a chance to function once in a while !
Who needs Disney when we have Trump ?
Regards all and GL today
Trump's first step towards advocating masks too slightly yesterday. Can only be a good thing.
@indepthwins you must be joking... have you not seen the idiocy of the GREAT British public of recent?
Cinema's will quickly be running at the capacity of whatever government restrictions allow them to, IMO. If they have to leave a seat between family groups, that still allows over 2/3rds capacity.

I thought the same about cinema attendance figures through recession. Someone one here told me otherwise. I then spent some time researching cinema figures during previous recessions and subsequently changed my thinking. I'm also yet to find any evidence of covid passing through air conditioning filtration systems. Happy to be proved wrong on my last point.
The young have nothing to lose. The early 30 brigade like myself have mortgages and kids. Our jobs are at risk our house prices are falling. Going to be a disaster from here.
Agree. Young people are aware this disease is lethal for the old but not at all for the young. They are hugely frustrated about their futures effectively being sacrificed to protect the older people. If you are at University now, you are looking at 10 years of deep recession caused by an economic ruin caused to protect the old folk. This was necessary but think of it from the mind of a youngster. They take the brunt if the damage whilst older folk with big houses and good pensions yet again benefit from the protection with the young having even worse prospects. Don't think the young will be staying away from entertainment. What else have they got?
Booked my first meal out for Tuesday, hard to get a table so we are eating at 6.30. Cannot wait for some social interaction.
I'd be willing to sit inside a pub or cinema. I have worked throughout all this in a hot sweaty factory fixing the machines that keep food on the table. We people need to start facing this virus and learning to live with it.
I think you will change your mind after this weekend when you see the uptake inside at pubs and social clubs. I could be wrong, but time will tell. The majority of the young are not afraid imo.
Lots of people will visit the cinema. But also the Cineworld membership payments kick back in on the 31st of July. So a massive influx of cash to Cineworld occurs.
Imho this is going to be heading back to the pre COVID prices towards the end of the year. September schools will reopen and things will be back to norm. Masks may be requested to wear in the cinemas too but people need something to do. Young families always go to cinemas. Before you know it, we will be flying high. What do u reckon?
