Mr Bond will save cinema ...good old James ..never lets you down
Nice one Hosai. Yeah cinemas will never die, it will evolve imo.
Nice steady week on grg if anyone fancies a smoother ride. Looks like a recovery play in action to me.
Happy weekend all. I’ve been roped into helping my friend get his rental house ready for new tenants. The thing we do for mates eh. Sorry I should not emphasise the word friends as the shorters don’t have any.
Indepth, Cineworld has been open for 1 week. Unhinged has taken $2.9 mil
accross all boards in the same amount of time. The film cost $33 mil to make,
it has another 2 weeks to run before Tenet, & will be on the big screen for at least
another month, before being sold to Vod's.
This is why Cineworld is going to boom.
Bolox you are the bolox bro !
Actors & directors are mostly paid in commission, Mr Nolan gets an astonishing
20%. Studios need cinemas like a butcher needs meat.
Strap yourselves in, this ride hasn't even started.
Onwards & Upwards.
That was me Jai, it was an interview he did I think about interstellar, it's clear he is a perfectionist. But it's not just him, you think James Cameron would allow his Avatar movies to not be in the cinema?! Eventually actors and directors and in general the actual talent would make it clear they would only do films that will have a proper cinema release.
Far too busy to follow this bb now, it’s gone crazy. I did see a smart comment earlier about Christopher Nolan checking out the seats in a the cinema for one of his movies though. He’s a massive cinema fan, always has been. He produces movies for the cinema only and will not deviate from that. Tenet will be amazing on the big screen.
Went to see Empire Strikes Back last night, absolutely brilliant. Very well organised and 63 people in, it was one of the smaller rooms.
Might do Sunday night too as I’m working all weekend.
Couldn't make it up. Cineworld is allowed to open for the first time
since March where I am. Can't wait for it.
I think it's probably trading on the fact that the results have not materialised today. Personally, I was hoping they were going to be published. Sounds like they will now be released around the same time that the US reopening takes place.
Exactly - plus I'm kinda grateful to be only 5% down on the day, so far. Cheers CINE you're great.
