Absolutely right about that. VOD suppliers just don't have the great film content and quality that cinema's can provide.
The choice of great films on Netflix for example is abbysmal and lots of b movie titles. Netflix is basically a provider of series for binge watching and no competition for Cinema's.
Disney channel is for kids after school viewing and will not thrill them like the magical big screen does.
What Lion King on TV Vs on Cinema screen. Who wins do you think???
I had Disney subscription but honestly the streaming was always slow and most of the times it used to get stuck in the middle of the movie. It was through fire stick, we watched Disney but really pathetic experience with Disney. Only streaming with Disney was poor rest like Netflix was better. So we cancelled Disney and no way we are going to subscribe to Disney+. Now we subscribed to Netflix and still went for Disney because there was not much choice in Netflix. So overall VOD is not that great!
$29.99 for a family of 4 - ( $9+$9+$5+$5 in cinema ??) is comparable to the cinema cost - but clearly the experience isnt the same
They are assuming most Disney subscribers are watching as a family - clearly you have to make a night of it and bring the gang over and have a pizza/movie night and share the cost...
Wont be long until it gets illegal download copies on the web... mind you
No one in West likes people who support fascists
That’s a lot of votes against Mulan and clear indication where this experiment by Disney is headed. The lead actress support police brutality in Hong Kong will certainly be publicised, it will flop for sure!
Yes laidback that’s the near 15% that said yes I guess, lol
I think it's just Chinese wanting to see it ... they are actually14.7% of world population !
Just seen a tweet survey via your link with 93751 votes asking if you would watch Mulan at home for $29.99 and 85% have said no, big mistake Disney! You should of left it with Mooky, I for one will definitely not be paying that on top of my subs, would you?
They're trying to run it at a silly price to recoup some of what they think they're going to lose at the box office. They should be supporting their cinema theatre partners in their hour of need. Looks like it might backfire on them. Greedy Disney.
Wow ... Looks like Mulan will be a flop on Disney +
Tenet will take in over $1bn world wide
Could herald a new golden age for cinema
