Oldcoaster: It is also said to be haunted by the ghost of a subaltern who was beaten to death for cheating at cards.[3][4]
P_I: nobody gets beaten to death for cheating at cards.
getting caught cheating at cards is another matter entirely.
No cheating at cards or share pushing at the Grenadier? Maybe the entry should have BPC shareholders meet up

Wikipedia reveals the history.
he Grenadier is a public house in Belgravia, London. It was originally built in 1720 as the officers' mess for the senior infantry regiment of the British army, the 1st Regiment of Foot Guards and so was located in a courtyard of their barracks. It was opened to the public in 1818 as The Guardsman and was subsequently renamed in honour of the Grenadier Guards' actions in the Battle of Waterloo.[1]
Being secluded in a wealthy district of London, it was frequented in the past by the Duke of Wellington and King George IV, and continues to attract an elite clientele such as Madonna and Prince William, LSE Global Politics students and Alumni of St John's College, Durham University.[1][2] It is also said to be haunted by the ghost of a subaltern who was beaten to death for cheating at cards.[3][4]

Hello JBT, a shareholders meeting at the Grenadier must be done soon!
Ok Lee, Linton and others. The question has to be asked, how much is a pint of lager or bitter at this fine establishment?
