Irish renegade, silverhorse fatboy and others, do you think change in government in next two years almost certainly involving sinn fein will impact thos share and economy?
I think it's essentially a play on the Irish economy...worry is it will.overheat between pent up demand, record deposits and a severe shortage of housing with insatiable demand
Spoke people like FBS
IR - Do you believe there could be dirty tricks going on here to take the price down for a big boy to move in?
Its very strange - When i bought under 2euros i said to myself thats it, then i bought more over 2euros -sold some 3.75 it went up to 4.05 then we had the massive buy up it goes i bought 4.23 it fell back bought more 4.06 - then i said 100% no more. hopefully we will see a fall under 5euros IR !
We need to be realistic. Of course a major event would have an impact on all share prices.
If a massive asteroid changes course and hits Ireland I expect BIRG to be wiped out... plus we would be dead. It doesn't mean that I calculate that into my forecasts. Those events catch us blind sided just like covid. If we were to apply those scenarios in our investment strategies then we would invest in nothing due to fear.
Regarding all the talk about why the share price has slowed it pace, it's worth taking a step back and looking at it's 12 month performance. if that growth level continued we would be looking at a share price of €14+ next June... which was never likely. Let the price find its new range and settle and new investors will bring the price on again as there is more to go in this run. I am quite heavy on BIRG but I just might top up if it falls another bit, I am very positive on the long term on this one.
@brushville - Charting isn't science and I tend to take it with a pinch of salt as it tends to be more accurate when there is a hive of activity
Agree IR - But, you would of said same before covid! 4.75minimum. A serious world event could but not until 2030
@ICARUS42 -
€3.00 S.P. Not going to happen...
Price is Price and is the only truth in trading.Birg is in profit taking area and any overall market weakness could see Birg test 4 and 3 in a severe pull back.Todays tick up is due to anticipated increase in NIM in banks generally following a policy shift by the Fed where interest rates are now seen rising in 2023 rather than 2024.Any weakness in US indices will be reflected here.
Best of luck.
icarus42 - A fall much under 4.90 with be artificial!
Some good exchanges here involving icarus silverhorse etc. With good summer news built in thos share will stay in range either side of 5 euro until Q4.
Silverhorse,
I tend to usually stick to sectors I think I know something about.
I sold Greencore before recent results,I mention 112 as this was the placing price and support,if it gets there then I will buy.
I have been at this for many years but wisdom,I am afraid, continues to elude me.
I have a decent size in STX @34p and would add on a break above 70p.I trade with stops and my stop on the 34p tranche is now 25p.I have a big stake here in BIRG circa 150 and will unload when/if £8 is reached.
This is a tough profession and one needs to make it when the bull is giving.
Best of luck.
Hi lcarus42 - I can tell your a man of wisdom - You talk about greencore - The share price is 1.29 your target buy price is 1.12? i know notthing about that company i will look into it. If you want some risk but very high reward go for UFO
There will be a lot of churn between 4.50 and 6,one should expect a 10%-15% pull back in US indices between now and Sept.
My view is that a decent pull back in BIRG should be bought.
There is more to go in this bull market 6k S/P 500,8k + FTSE 100 and £8 + here are the targets.
Greencore @ £1.12 is good value and for the Gamblers STX (Shield Therepeutics) worth a small gamble, very high risk.
Best of luck and the above are only my opinions not advice etc.
Any particular reason why you think its going 4.70 or is it just a hunch
We already have a poster who goes by his gut after jogging
I'm going to share my expertise after results come back from Venus
