A few ago, this was the assessment of one of the funds taking a position in Arena when the SP was around 40p:
"Arena Events Plc. Arena's offerings include specialist temporary physical structures, seating, ice rinks, furniture and interiors, mostly for sporting, cultural and corporate events of a Tier 1 nature. The company focuses on creating long-term, multi-year contracts with clients (for example it has had a relationship with Wimbledon for 50 years and the Ryder Cup for 20 years) and therefore large proportion, recurring revenues are attractive. Operating in a highly fragmented marketplace, with competition tending to be sector/region-specific, and Arena's strategy is one of consolidation, organically or via bolt-on acquisition, both geographically and by product. We believe this strategy to be a sensible one as the consequential breadth and depth of service it can offer, coupled with an experienced management team and strong heritage, should position them to grow ahead of the market, enhance margins and improve asset utilisation."
When covid is under control and events pick up, I can see no reason why services of Arena should not once again be in demand.
This for sure is in the bargain basement in , considering the present climate it is holding firm and with some positive news it could well climb up the ladder .
All in the hands of the pandemic -
Vaccine roll out goes well we may see some live events back by summer though unlikely to be normal service resumed.
Are have picked up a fair bit of work during covid building out temporary Covid test sites and even a covid hospital in the US. Potentially will pick up work for vaccine sites (global reach not just UK) I see they have also continued on some stadium fit outs which make sense to do whilst they are empty. £42mil revenues looks pretty impressive without live events.
I agree turbo probably need to hold into next year to see a return back to 25p+ but I’m thinking 25% -30% rise is likely in next couple of months as vaccine news starts to lift the gloom of current spikes. More so as it breached 12p recently on vaccine approval news.
Any thoughts on the saudi 27% holding here. I came across reports that they were about to make a bid for the company, this just before covid hit but i cant verify that, just read it somewhere on the net, might even have been on here. Probably Speculation.
Good analyses Ian. I will go one step further and say there is potential for an excellent rather than decent rise, but only if you are prepared to hold for the the longer term. Personally I think worth buying if you are able to hold for at least the start of 2022. (I hold).
Had a quick look at this..
Looks a fairly robust performance during covid given no live events.
They still managed £42mil revenue in H1 and still ebitda positive - though did make a £3mil loss.
USA strong performance.
£15mil cash end of sept highest for a long time.
Access to another £15mil cheap gov loan if needed.
Costs and capex well down. 35% and 50% roughly.
Saudis bought 27% of company and were still buying last month.
Sp was 12p + a month ago now come off 25% - Bod have full options entitlement only of they get sp back to 30p
I can see potential for a decent rise here once vaccine roll out gathers momentum.maybe one to buy and hold for 3- 6 months or longer top maximise gains.
A full UK Lockdown is bad news.
Will it need to look at further financing
and will it retest 5p and 4p again.
ARE you feeling lucky, lads?

I was watching Christmas at Warwick castle on channel 5 I think it was. Arena were building their outside ice rink. So they are still busy.
Once the Azn vaccine kicks in and things start to slowly get back to normal this is..dare I say it without sounding like a ramping troll...a multi bagger :)
Looks like buyers are returning, and the markets are rallying. Up 5%, and heading for 12p.
Just as things were starting to look up its Tier4 lockdowns and staring into another potential National lockdown. It is hardly the time to be encouraging buying.
Testing to be introduced in schools. Will ARE be involved in building the testing centres?
See my post in previous thread!
interested in this stock, can someone briefly update me on their financials and if this is a stock that has a positive outlook the next 12/18 months. thanks
Just bought in. Mentioned on Addicted2shares on Fbook.
Small Traders out of the way...

good info thank you all
average of 7.3 here so nice to see it ticking up slowly each day! 10% a day will do me fine. Cmon Saudi buy
Bargain price and rising.
The new backers have a bigger vision and a master plan.
Arena Events contacts and holding “major sporting live events” in Saudi is the countries goal.
Bolona, you make some very valid points.
Thank you.
Fth
Probably overdone and profit takers will move in but for once we are in a share in a a perfect storm
1. the Saudis will buy but at what Price? They appeared to be about to do so in the high 20s in march when Covid hit .
2. they propped the company up by buying stake in spring when they could have let it wither and pick up for nothing.
3. Company now has a much stronger balance sheet as cheap government loans and have managed to just about weather the covid storm.
4. Vaccination is a big boost and some events beginning to open.
The price will creep up with bouts of profit taking but most of the trades are pretty small as the bulk of the company is held by institutions or the chairman and sooner or later the bid will come and the more the price creeps the sooner this will happen.
If it retraces back to under 10p? not sure why its increasing each day but I like it
I think you can be fairly confident that this share will not be paying a dividend any time soon. They need every penny they have to survive. However . Hold on as the capital appreciation makes a dividend irrelevant even if 10%
There're a 200k and 400k buys today and couple big buys day before. Just wonder is the Saudi's accumulating?
I was thinking of buying this share given that the the vaccine might help recovery but why has the share price gone down from 60 + since 2018 (not including the lockdowns / coronvirus being a reason for the decline)
pity?
Huge delay buy! No wonder at around 11ish this morning the sp went risen quickly to over 9.15
Interesting!!
ii buying in. Another huge buy - delay buy reported 872,450 shares
