LONDON (Alliance News) - Balfour Beatty PLC Monday said its joint venture with Skanska and MWH Treatment has signed a GBP800 million five-year contract with Thames Water, to help build and maintain the water company's pipe, pumping stations and water treatment plant network.
The profit warning was about the past, renewed infrastructure spending is the future. The company should be able to prosper as UK , USA & Europe are all wanting to spend more on infrastructure.
Wow, who would have guessed that the SP will go up when threre's a profit warning, together with cancellations of 200M share buyback and potential cancellation of dividend payment or at least dividend reduction.
Stock Market never ceases to amaze me. Loose an extra £75 m + and the price goes up. I love it BUT it shows what a bunch of unpredictable Richardcraniums MMs , Brokers etc are

Here's a little bit of free advice.....It's your money you are dealing with......do your own research, and listen to nobody.....As the share price gone down by 20% today...no it as not...in fact it's gone up 4% nearly...Some of the jokers on these boards would have you believe they are the real experts.....When in truth they know sweet..---------
Bit of an anti climax that.
Rumour is takeover announcement imminent. Wether thats the whole business or parts of it such as CSUK (Regional) Im not sure.
Very surprised ,I also thought we were in for a big hit .but as the comment made in report this is a big and unwealdy organisation .so it looks to me a break up! Is on the way .

I like to think with that contract win announcement and with the £2.00 level being sustained for a few weeks now, we could be looking at a decent entry price now with limited downside. Market in general may be a bit weak ahead of the ECB on Thursday but looking at Balfours balance sheet this morning, it is in generally good shape.
BALFOUR BEATTY APPOINTED TO NEW £1.5 BILLION PUBLIC
The new CEO starts in January he will be bringing in a top team and the share price is well below the market value. BB is also employing experienced staff at every level. My prediction is at least £2,90 in 2015,
Will we break the 200 barrier today. This share has been about as useful as Ed Miliband over the last few months.
Carillon will be back for sure..!
"...Doubt John Laing will take Marshall's refusal as final . It will probably return and in the background there is the tantalising prospect of Carillion returning..."
Good move I dont blame the BOD.....
The market is pushing the SP down awaiting the JLIF decision, no doubt this is going to increase significantly £2.25 by mid - January 2015
