please jump in if I am missing something - also Mexico drilling in 2019 (huge blocks near PMO discovery) and equatorial guinea 3D ...and then obviously Fortuna and Tanzania ...
looking at July trading statement that spells out what to expect on a stand alone basis and now with Santos - was expecting FY estimate with Santos proforma to be $190 million of cash flow after production (revenue I assume around $430 mill) - with capex at $145 mil so $55 million left after production and capex - that or better will be good for me ..Santos performed better so hoping better - then with oil price I am extremely interested in FY19E ..so lets see
i have £20k in here at an average of 59p. Don't get me wrong, I would rather not have that average price but I am not even thinking of selling, indeed I was still averaging down until I hit a self-imposed limit. just a matter of patience... hope to be in a happier position tomorrow for sure though.
p.s. Not sure what UPS know about equities but UBS' 80p target (ignoring Fortuna) is good enough for me... ;-)
Me too, this should be double today’s share price imo, institutional investors will be all over this once they see the figures tomorrow, oil pushing $80 a barrel, all time low price, UPS have an 80p price target, perfect set up for a run to 60p, buy wholesale today it won’t be this low tomorrow
Looking forward to tomorrow
Have been building a position at 38-38.4p... seller wont have many left at all. Tomorrows results should make for some interesting reading.
At these all time lows. The company is in a fantastic position the only reason the price is down is because of the seller. But only 2.8% left and that was a month ago, I would expect them to only have about 1% left now which will be cleared easily tomorrow when the results are released imo if the seller is clear tomorrow then it’s a big big day think we will see plenty of institutional investors scaling in its a screaming buy, just added another 20k but it’s NT for anything but tiny amounts tells it’s own story, anyone selling at 38p should give up investing imo
Today ahead of the results tomorrow when imo the market will sit up and take note of just how cheap this is. Buying at all time lows is a gift of an entry price, fully expecting this to be heading back tiwards 60p over the next few weeks now the seller is pretty much out. Without the seller providing this opp the price would be nearer 70p so easy 100% upside once the seller is fully out. Looking forward to seeing the numbers tomorrow
Hoping they might have hedged some more and increased the overall price in that respect. I think everything has mostly been covered in other announcements.
Or are they disguised sells?
that's ok - was 400p odd 5 yrs ago :) ..
Had to pay 38.4 for them though
welcome mate - great entry point
Just bought in £7k’s worth.
Brent oil over $79 - 25,000 BOEPD production - hopefully big fat blue day ahead of interim results tomorrow that should make the market stand up and see how much free cash flow after production they are throwing off
I could be wrong but I think this is it's lowest ever actual day finish? If they don't come out with anything but great news on Thursday I'm afraid this will tank!
Still can't bring myself to buy back in here despite the value seeming to be on offer. This must surely be the worst stock on the entire London stock exchange. How can an almost debt free producer of oil with oil around $79 as i type be down another 3%. This has dropped 50% on an oil rally. Risen nothing at all and now is dropping with the rest of the market which is now rallying again. Guess see what happens on Thursday but it is almost incomprehensible for a share to perform as badly as this. May as well have kept with Nick Cooper and let him finish off the job and put shareholders out of their misery as this new guy has done FA but collapse this even further
taken another chunk this morning - absolute steal at this level - did the market miss the Santos RNS ?!? ….seriously though seller should be out imminently - didn't have that much left as per last holding rns
Thats my 20k in LC,
Lets hope your predictions , Logic come good,
Onwards and upwards towards xmas.
Gla.
Here's hoping.
Next few months could be good.
Looking at the reaction of the share price, you would have thought we lost out on the deal?
Great news "The acquisition of the Producing Assets was structured so as to have an effective date of 1 January 2018, with cash flows generated by the Producing Assets post the effective date (but pre-completion) netted off against the final amount payable. The cash flows generated by the Producing Assets in 2018 have been better than Ophir's expectations, owing to higher than expected commodity prices over the period and production from the Chim Sáo field in Vietnam outperforming. The net cash payable to Santos by Ophir on completion is therefore $144 million (subject to any post completion adjustment).Â
rns - acquisition completed
Just read the news - good good -bonus bring Fortuna home and on top of the increased production even more undervalued in my view
Cautiously Optimistic
