I'm always amazed to read the contrarians on the 1st day of bad news. I can't fault you for optimism, but the chart is telling you a different story, which also needs to be played out in the short/medium term.
KCOM was in an uptrend but couldn't break 110p. The business, reflected in the share price, has been going nowhere since late 2015, although the market wasn't signalling a fall. Then comes today's statement and that's all changed. Today's news also broke the bull trend and it's very likely it will settle back to 47p unless they can produce better results.
Well it’s up 7% since I last posted! Every big drop like this which is an overreaction presents an opportunity... if you can’t get your head around that perhaps you should stick to a bank savings account!
New CEO been in a month and you get this. Looks as if he's had a goo look at the business and is set on sorting out the weak side. Hold maybe.
It`s a bargain when most of us paid twice the current sp !
I think they will drop the price again soon as they haven`t got the panic sells they expected but I would expect the sp to settle around 65p in a few days but who knows ?
There's plenty of buyers coming onboard it looks like a fantastic opportunity, I could be wrong though, We'll see !!
Why is it a bargain u fool
Massively oversold...jump in for a bargain chaps, its there for the taking.
Yesterday I took a stash out of my ISA to pay for an impending divorce...just my luck, if I hadn't I would have jumped in here with everything...
I blame the wife ! :)
@3p still over 5%
nothing wrong with a prudent dividend cut IF IF the fundamental business is sound, from what I hear it is sound but undergoing changes sadly as a firefighter rather than being proactive - ie late to make the changes. Unless the customer base has significantly changed within the last 6 months KCOM will be fine. I agree too much debt and BOD paid too much. 5.5% yield aint half bad - if it is sustainable and they can service and cut debt.
Could be snapped up at this price
Just goes to show what clowns these brokers are. Thank god I didnt buy any. KCOM is drowning in debt and I dont see a way out for them. Steer clear folks, a risky investment even at 25p
Just put buy order in at 27p ! this is going to get hammered big time IMVHO
Divi cut, that's not going to go down well
Update , it did not happen on tuesday , but had previously happened enough times for me to take note.
Hi aa.
did not reply earlier as I kind of expected a drop . No one seems to comment , even though there seems to be strange fluctuations based on very little .I think after the original dialogue on the buy/sell 1 , it happened again on monday amd tuesday at 17:23. It would be great if someone more knowledgable could/would comment.
Mini boom tday.
If we will see the sell / buy 1 share at 17:23 this afternoon.
After todays trading pattern which I found a "little unusual" , after hours at 17:23:31 there was a buy of 1 share. So what does tomorrow hold ?
Whether coincidence or not , there was an approximate 600k buy this morning
makes sense. Although my response was tongue in cheek I have always wondered if there is a 'code' related to 1 buy /sell, I think the oddment / leftover makes more sense.
Anyway I still like KCOM as an investment, good luck to holders.
I'm told it means either an rns coming or an odment left over from a crossing trade
what does the sale of 1 share mean?? It's a secret!
as you will see from the latest / after hours trade. The explanation for the future share price is being highlighted by the code of sell 1. We all know this a MM code to explain what will happen in the future. Take care all and enjoy the ride.
DEBs 1
All i can say is keep an eye on it !
Hi Lunatic, care to let me in on it ?
