Just waiting for some action...it is early days after all, there's plenty of potential action, there's just nothing happening yet

Strange calm in this BB but also on the SP.
Expecting A Dollar ............. Seems Rushed ........ Timing certainly interesting ........ Chin Chin.x
Clearly the market in their country feels medco getting a bargain. Hope ophir sold at fair value and not treated in the same manner as faroe petr. GLA
Once again, Medco outperformed its sector today finishing up +2.08%.
Listen, nobody knows where the bid price may be, or indeed whether the bid will even materialise. Current sp movements are based purely on speculating on the future. If the bid comes, the sp will relocate upwards towards the price; if not, then there is a risk that it will plummet towards its pre Xmas levels. Fundamentals of this company are good, and all the experts seem to suggest it is a bargain at these levels, so it must be worth a mid term punt, even if the bid doesn’t arrive..
Could tie in well with EoY business for the fund mgr to get some profit added to their accounts, in that case they would vote for a t/o even if its not the best price. Hence why the first announced deal needs to be a good one, just in case we don't see any other bidders.
imho they are holding this while buying to get there average down so 60 70 is a a price they can accept all in my honest of course
senn
Interesting - and I make it more than 50% now.
Gruff,
Taking a large slug is NOT their MO imo, hence no interest.
Small bites but lots of them, various combination of BOTS buys and sells to maintain the low SP whilst acquiring more stock day on day.
If you want to sell into this market, wouldn't you let the SP take its natural course and rise , feeding the rise slowly ?
OPHR is still being actively managed, like it has been for the past many months imo

Baz,
Standard practice as per takeover panel rules for any company that has an approach. Holders have 10 working days in which the must notify the market AND any subsequent change there after.
What is does is give a real-time notification of ALL holders above 1%.
Also it flushes out holders that would usually remain hidden until 3% is reached.
I will also probably force shorts to close before they notify, no one likes to be see as a looser in t/o scenarios.
It also can give a heads up in case of hostile approach.
Regulatory News Service - legal notices on significant position changes
My worry is that I offered a decent slug >200k of stock at 0.5p above the market all day yesterday that any serious stake builder would have taken. No interest. I followed the limit all the way back down and up. Nothing done.
As much as Tony Rouse is not the trigger puller and it's a board call, I hope that his 2016 purchase gives him and emotional anchor point!!
Hi
Sorry I am very new to this, what does all these RNS mean?
Waiting on some big un's still, Hotchkis / Capotal / Azvalor etc
