It’s been in the making for a while. Heres proof ... 1st. Why on earth would you add a 18montg extension to the debt facility when it’s not due until 2023 and push it to 2025 WITH INCREASED $100m facility .....part of the plan ??? ———- 2nd .... the downsize of its London office and HQ shifted to the Far East ..... pre agreed ? ———- 3rd.... u just couldnt get a 10% rise in the sp or even a fall in that case as the sp was most certainly controlled and tailored to needs ..... I’m 100% certain they have hoovered up many shares .... interesting to see how many. ———- 4... they have no ceo ..... who on earth would take this long to find a CEO ? Looks like a set up to me. ———— 5. NO EXCLUSIVITY...... unheard of these days and suggests they were already in bed together and dont fear outsiders coming in although it would be good for investors. Like many I think an offer could be made this week. ———- 6. Just my opinions above. All facts stated followed by my opinion. Hope you guys can see what I can see.
Dusterinmong- well said. Looks like a deal will be done here !!!!
Happy to wait and see how this plays out, prepared for the board not to except a low offer as long term this a solid company. Bought pmo couple years ago and remember shorters driving it down to 19p, no thanks. Next few days exciting here.
I will say this was certainty the reason nobody will buy PMO until! The Mexican asset it’s apprised is the risk is too high. I sold my shares there for a little profit and I did make a £20k investment in that business until I realized that market is uncertain about their Mexican assets. A positive high end result once the all the data is made public could lift £1 billion in that asset and a quick sale of the asset could reduce theist debts significantly. However their debts are very very worrying as are TLW. There is a reason why a good business is looking to buy OPHR
lol errr nope have you seen PMO debts!!!
Not with that debt pile jog on.
I think it's a major positive that Medco have not gone hostile like DNO FAROE looks like both parties want to do a deal. imho
I think the rise is done here. First day tends to be biggest upswing.
Risk of a fall back is real now.
As I have said before, sell Ophr and buy Pmo, which is rock bottom and may be the next to get a takeover approach.
Dyor
Let's hope he gets a decent price
Encore was the last one he was in and that got taken out as well
Spiked - this is a cash positive profit making business with £1 billion in assets on a bad day wirg $1 billion in cash to come over the next three years of low cost production please explain to me why anyone invested here at even 60p is spiked?! Once the oil market turns and it will demand is too high 60/65 this will be back to 70p+ The assets are going to be bought up and fast this bidder is serious and will make a serious offer or it’s no deal simple as that.
Was among those who were spiked here today. Hope there is still some good upside in here :)
Thanks New
Outperformed their local energy sector today and against the backdrop of poor markets, thanks to Xi, I think shows confidence in their choice of OPHR.
Jakarta listed medco stock finished up 5% had a good look at it's last trading update, plenty of cash for good premium to the current share price.
+28.6% close, not what I was looking for, but given it's early days, still plenty for the II to play for.
Academy,
Standard practice as per takeover panel rules. Holders have 10 working days in which the must notify the market.
What is does is give a real-time notification of holders above 1%.
I will also probably force shorts to close before they notify, no one likes to be see as a looser in t/o scenarios.
Hi, anyone know if the form 8.3's indicate a higher likelihood of bid, or just standard practice given the takeover interest?
The BoT's had to work hard into the close against some heavy buying.
Lets see what orders they managed to fill with our late reported trades, shall we !
up 26.19%
