There’s still potential here without a complicated ‘ fund raise’.
The downside for all Exceeds the effort of attempting a further push.
,despite SXX. board position currently.
I sincerely hope there’s some thoughtful activity here, and if so it will be supported by many.
'He's not coming out and that's my final word.......'
Please, please mean that!
The Anglo American director had been a senior manager at BHP for a long time.
BHP has $2.6bn Jansen potash (MOP) project in the Saskatchewan province of Canada, and had wanted to take over Potash Corp using $40bn (but failed). If they still want to get into the fertilizer business as a major player, then getting Sirius (Polyhalite) to become a biggest blend fertilizer (MOP+poly4) producers. If the former BHP senior manager had been interested in SM; why the current BHP manager not ? They are one of those have the power and potential business interest to do so.

I’m prepared to vote No and go down with my 52k shares to say Foxtrot Oscar to CF and the pathetic BOD.
JJ
Nice one trinity
most annoying bad loser has to be KOH
Best storyteller has to be Bucky
I know I've been accused of defending Myo before but you are aware that he has been one of the three shareholders representing us as a joint force withing sharesoc ???? and I believe he was involved in the meeting with sirius the other day ?
Oh and the biggest turnaround has to be a joint win for JR and AlyG surely ?
One would imagine CF will win best actor next year as Iv'e heard they are doing a remake of Billy liar ...
It’s the Oscars this evening, so as it’s Sunday let’s lighten up for an hour or two before hostilities resume again on Monday morning.
My nominations for posters on this board are as follows, please feel free to comment (nicely) and add your own if you like.
Most honest: Fred16 – Always tells it like it is and has no hidden agenda.
Most devious: GK – Played us like a fiddle for years and went off laughing with the cash.
Most annoying: Superleggra – His year long spat with Scotman was the most tedious of all.
Foreign language poster: Chesh – All these years and I still have no idea what you’re on about fella!
Poster you’d most like to flatten: Casapinos – Always had to tell us he was just getting on or off a plane or boat before telling us how wrong we all were.
Best writer: PAAA – Could construct a good paragraph and was master of the ‘put-down’, but made a fool of himself with that infamous ‘I looked Fraser in the eyes’ post. Where is he now?
Most prolific: Myosotis - With over 20,000 posts an easy choice, but another who has gone missing in action (again) - Not one to have beside you in the trenches.
Over to you fellow posters.
Is that completed by Oz pals whilst hoisting up a liar statue of an Oz pal at much cost to the local community...............?
now that won't work..............! IMO
All the best (best try again I reckon :)
For him and RS, the £500k may be just much less than 10% of their investments; unlike many here, the lose is almost all the investment (or saving); even worse for those deep mine workers to be working 10 years to earn their investment back (rather than getting richer as shown by the promising picture ((FTSE 100) painted by the project creator).
The only thing that we may feel better is that although this investment proves to a stupid one, many big names also bought the shares, and the mine asset is real and the mine will be taken over and completed by a big company; rather a hole being filled at the end (with a liar statue on top of it).

All the best (that says more than anything............. :)
Totally agree with you,Perrins.I hold only 5,ooo shares in Sirius, and I will be voting NO.If your shares are held in a nominee account with your stockbroker you must instruct them as to your wishes.Quote Daily Mail Feb.8th."Sirius is worried many retail backers will not register a vote because they own stock through investing platforms.Unless a shareholder contacts the investing platform to tell them how they want to vote, the platform will often automatically include their shares in a DEFAULT vote,"Make sure your vote counts.I would rather the company went into administration than be handed to AA for a pittance.
What are the odds of a director of AAL buying the same before Chris Frasers purchase ???
Hi IBAB. Have said it before and will say it again, you are the best and however much THEY are paying you it is not enough. To state "conspiracy theories are crap" is the most stupid statement you have ever made. JPM and AAL are in the same boat they have pulled of a major coup with SXX THEY have stuffed CF and SHs. I think it is time now for you to F.O. from here and get on with your pathetic life. A.T.Worst. Speedy
“so the last deal ought to allay any thoughts that he had any
inkling of a future bid at 5.5p”
Clearly the suggestion of a 5.5 pence bid is most likely to
have come from JPM!
Jamie Nimmo says that Ian Ashby "has spent as much as £700,000 on Sirius shares", having bought 1,500,000 shares "about three years ago" and 833,333 at 30p last April.
Exactly three years ago Sirius's share price was 18.25p. If the 1,500,000 shares were bought at that time Ian Ashby would have spent £273,750, plus £250,000 in April 2019 = £523,750, so £700,000 looks to me to be too high.
He sold a total of 1,166,668 shares last August and September and raised £59,500, and he still holds 1,166,665 worth say 5.5p each = £64,000, making a total of £123,500.
He is therefore facing a loss of more like £400,250 on his investment in Sirius, not as high as Jamie Nimmo implies but still huge.
He sold 233,326 last August and September at a higher price than 5.5p, but 933,342 last September at only 4p, so the last deal ought to allay any thoughts that he had any inkling of a future bid at 5.5p.
Another no from me. If I’m going down (£10k) then I’m going to take the BOD bstds with me
Ian Ashby has a wealth of experience in the mining industry, he was obviously convinced that SM was a viable project, hence his investment.
I guess it was probably him that started AAL's interest in SM.
Also it seems that he is maybe Australian - his profile states that he started his career in Queensland.
At just 61 he could have an active involvement in the development of the SM project.
