Breixt will have little effect on TUI, over 75% of its business comes from other European nations buiness, and its cruise liners are becoming more popular and now booked 2 years in advance.
Brexit or know Brexit, if Brits like hotels that TUI own they will still go, or they can always enjoy Caravan holidays in the cold wet weather.
Suggest a good read of what nationalities "TUI is German owned and holiday makers are not made up by just brits, they make up a minority?
kaz is a different story.... it should have crossed 7 in my opinion I guess might cross 7 tomorrow....
Noggers : I think all the negatives of hard Brexit and weak GBP are already built into the current share price mostly .
long term this is a winner..I think.
short term...its very hard to predict, it may bounce strongly if there is soft Brexit or continue like this or marginally decline if there is a hard Brexit... the reason it won't crash is that its already heavily discounted....for all read most bad news....
A lot if uncertainty due to Brexit . Obviously travel companies will benefit from more certainty/ softer brexit / no brexit and if this happens GBP should rise and the long term outlook improved. This will also help the EBITA of travel companies this year with GBP being higher improving margins. Especially considering the potential bounce in GBP would be when balances paid for summer 2019 bookings.
I think if they left without a deal next month @hash travel companys as well as banks and building shares would go down quite a lot, they would recover in time, but i will have to watch very closely come next month.
I looked at MTRO when they dropped the other week, and like you i had my finger on the buy button for 30,000 shares the day MTFB dropped to 5p same again this morning spacetec but up to press held off, i seem to be getting a bit wary lately don't know why, i was in big time with KAZ sold at 580 with a very good profit but now 650, never mind. This has fallen back a little today, but i am going to hold for a bit with these, till next month anyway. GL all.
Noggers
I was in MTRO, then onto KWS now in TUI , been watching MFTB too I missed the chance last week when it dropped to 4.45p then went straight to 12p on the same day never mind, my big holding is in JUST for midterm got in at 74.25p
Noggers
I dont think Brexit will effect negatively on TUI. my logic being it will shake out the weaker players in the travel and holiday industry...we are already seeing this with smaller players going out of business.. people will still need holidays whether Brexit happens or not... and TUI. will emerge stronger....
You are a bit like me spacetec, i also am watching those, also MTFB as well.
also keeping an eye on PLUS500
You are more or less same as me spacetec i bought in at 830, i am hoping it has changed now to bullish, it should have done with all these director buys, i am waiting for at least £10 i just hope we can get there before brexit day, that is the only downside to this share.
hoping I have timed my entry well last friday at £8.27
All these director buys, must have confidence in TUI, nice rise today lets hope it continues.
yet more directors buy
very good spike up just now. i took the op. to offload some at 835p.
Looks very strong
