Know it's a cliche, but realising this is so true: "Be fearful when others are greedy and greedy when others are fearful"

Smart money makes dumb money fearful and greedy on purpose - like carrot/stick to a donkey. Need to zoom out and see what they're up to...

Wow, good video...never seen before and stumbled across her in Kindle library, had loads of good reviews. Easy read, clear explanations.

Yep, profitably followed Hendos moves in Sepu with a chunk of my holdings. Wish I'd followed them fully but was my first ever share, so learnt 'on the job'. Am starting to practise VPA, mostly on MGNS, AEX and SML. Know SML and AEX were played by the MMs at 4-5p and 2-2.35p so just need to match with VPA. Think MM's are accumulating again on both SML and AEX, which should be a good time to buy in but don't know for sure yet (so holding off). L2 would also help to see what's happening.

Hold on a minute, the intro guide sounds just like Dr Barry Burns... not Eddy, the one I posted about a while ago.. Confused.com

That has to be one of the most upbeat intro videos I've seen... and I've watched a lot! It got my interest, very well marketed.

Seems logical.

The II's already knew roughly the results that poor disadvantaged PI's didn't. Played into their hands.

However, you were one step ahead and sold, so tick in the box. The challenge was working out the buy back point. This we missed but if we'd been on top of the charts it would have been another story.

Are you practising yet?

So actually, if we'd fixed point 2 then we're ahead of the majority of PI's and can play the game, without the early indication that the results were good.

I remember you realising this on SEPU and matching what hendo's (I think it was them) were doing.

The book that really explains MM moves well is "Volume Price Analysis" by Anna Coulling.

Think it's perfect for chartists like you/Ionic/ma5k et al, as you've got all the tools at hand to capitalise on her insight. I've now got intra-day PRT so can see candle formation every 15mins. Don't need it for my mid-term investing style but fun to watch what's going on ... well-timed with the book and how it correlates a few key candles with MM antics. Once can see/understand what the smart money's doing, won't fall for their decades-practised tricks.

Thanks NWCS. Drop precipitated by stellar Half Year Report on 8 August.

My latest working theory is: II's saw the company as fundamentally good with improving value and increasing divis, so wanted to increase holdings (has many II's holding already). Best way is to engineer a fall, buy at discount then let it go again. If an II comes along with a massive order to an MM for a bullish share, MM have to get those shares off greedy holders, so need to (a) move price down to trigger stops and (b) instil fear to trigger sells. Mimicking an earlier trend line helps with generate fear for those who can read the runes.

No worries and SML is getting interesting as well.

My p/f in the last week has took a hammering. However, I've also wanted a drop to top up so you can't have both. Plus, I don't day trade so I don't "sweat the dailies" as Bonker would say.

A word of caution to any newbies, don't sweat the dailies doesn't mean ignore big news or big changes in SP daily, that can impact the longer term.

AKA0, I forgot to make a note of the recent books you're reading, can you tell me again so I can note them down?

I'm very interested in the MM one.

So, what caused the drop in the first place... the company was very sound on the fundamentals piece. Hmmm...

It this where the TA is showing the MA moving towards a death cross and the MMs know that many people are looking at this. They bring the price down to engineer a drop causing people to sell on the fact that they believe a death cross is coming... quite possible. I've been caught out a few times with the golden/death cross. Maybe it is overused and the relevance of it no longer important.

You'll notice I use the cycle indicator that I've not seen on any other charts published. Maybe this is now a more accurate guide because it's not been built into the algos etc...

Thought provoking...
