here you are . . . Cannabis Stocks Trending Up On Production & Expansion Developments Share with Twitter Share with LinkedIn PALM BEACH, Florida, November 15, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- The constantly evolving cannabis and legal marijuana markets has its sights set on even more growth after recent and current massive momentum following a strong performance on latest introduction of products and services and expanded operations in North America. The cannabis performers this week include: Arcturus Growthstar Technologies Inc. (CSE: AGS.CN), Canopy Growth Corporation (TSX: CGC.TO), OrganiGram Holdings Inc. (TSX-V: OGI.V), Mettrum Health Corp. (TSX-V: MT.V) and Aphria, Inc. (TSX-V: APH.V). Arcturus Growthstar Technologies Inc. (CSE: AGS) (AGSTF) is pleased to announce that it has signed a Letter of Intent ("LOI") to acquire a 15-acre parcel of land in Redland, Florida, in a county that is designated to legally cultivate, process and dispense cannabis. Redland is an unincorporated community within Miami-Dade County, with Biscayne National Park to the east and Everglades National Park to the west. Redland is primarily a Miami suburb and a major agricultural area. Miami-Dade County is referred to as the nation's "Salad Bowl" and "Winter Bread Basket." Read the full Arcturus (AGS.CN) (AGSTF) press release at: http://marketnewsupdates.com/news/agstf.html "We are pleased to have reached this LOI to acquire this prime parcel of land as it has a long history as a plant nursery, which was first established in 1963," says Mr. William Gildea, Arcturus Growthstar Technologies Inc.'s CEO and Chairman. "This acquisition will be an all-stock deal and greatly adds to our geographic footprint and overall strategy in the state of Florida. With the recent passage of Amendment 2, an initiative which significantly broadens Florida's medical marijuana program, we want to be firmly established in the state and solidify our first mover advantage in one of the biggest potential cannabis markets in the United States." With this acquisition and the previously announced 10-acre greenhouse acquisition near Orlando, Arcturus has the potential, if fully licensed, to develop 25-acres of cannabis crops. If current state projections for the cannabis market size hold up to their $1.8B projection by 2020, Florida will have considerable demand for medical marijuana, even without factoring in the potential for recreational legislation. This is an exciting acquisition for Arcturus as the 15-acre farm is located in a designated legal grow zone with close proximity to Miami. Other Canada Cannabis stocks performing well in the markets this week: Canopy Growth Corporation (CGC.TO) closed up over 19% at $11.16 on Monday trading over 12.3 Million shares traded by the market close. I received the corporate notification from Halifax Sharedealing this am,I rang them to confirm...."...Holders who wish to have ordinary shares converted into ADRS need take no further action,.." this will happen on 22nd Nov with no charges for conversion. When I asked about my shares in an ISA they had to check,it seems now(contrary To what they told me 10days ago)that these would not be converted, but would remain there until they give me further options on the 5th of December.Given me a B.headache!! GLA
Thanks Kingskin, the info on the link you've posted backs up everything else I've read that CGT will only be payable in the UK.

Thanks, I've been reading iii but nothing I've seen on it, or any other board come to that, addresses the CGT issue. From the number of people here and at iii who say they bought in at the beginning, I'm surprised no one else has brought up CGT as there must surely be loads of people who will be looking at a hefty tax bill (assuming they declare it of course!!!) You would only have had to make a £1500 initial investment sub £1 per share to be facing CGT now.
there is quite bit of info on the gw board at interactive investor, might be worth a read.
I'm in the same boat as you. Only just sent off my conversion form because I was worried about dealing with the IRS. Still not sure but the deadline is looming fast so took a chance. Glad I didn't take the easy route and sell up selling the price go back up. I'll be watching for any replies to your questions myself!
I have held GWP since the company was formed and have been a daily reader of this board although this is the first time I've posted. Having read about the AIM delisting, the information is now finally available on IWEB and TDdirect, the platforms I hold through. My question is this; having done extensive research online and having read the info provided am I correct to think that if our shares are converted to ADRs that we will still only be liable for CGT in the UK and that no US tax would be due? I'm sure there must be many people like myself who are subject to 6 figure gains if you've held from day 1 and are nervous about the CGT payable with the changes. Any opinion would be greatly appreciated although I of course appreciate one should always DYOR etc. PS I think it's a bit 'off' of GWP that the delisting was announced with such a tight deadline and with no opportunity for holders to deal with tax planning etc as the end of the tax year is not within the period concerned. Many thanks for any help/opinions.
it could be why we are tanking.... legal weed eats into the potential market, even if its only the thought and not the reality.
and we tank ? stateside firms faring a lot better . . . . . .
Up and down like a yoyo im out for now
very interesting indeed :)
it is gonna be an interesting day.. woke up to a 200% gain short the ftse ;) bio pop today? or will the dow / nasdaq fallout hit us initially? cant decide, should be good for bio though...
The same story from the Washington Post... www.washingtonpost.com/news/wonk/wp/2016/11/08/medical-marijuana-sails-to-victory-in-florida/?hpid=hp_hp-bignews6_marijuana-1220pm%3Ahomepage%2Fstory
www.theguardian.com/us-news/2016/nov/08/state-ballot-initiative-election-results-live-marijuana-death-penalty-healthcare The future is green. California, the worlds fifth largest economy, is legalizing recreational cannabis. Mexico will surely follow soon.
Having been reading the leaked emails I can't see either of them being food.
