JPMORGAN SMALLER COMPANIES INVESTMENT TRUST PLC

In conformity with the Transparency Directive, the Company would like to notify the market of the following:

As at 30th September 2016, the Company's issued share capital consists of 16,749,815 Ordinary 25 pence shares with voting rights and 3,555,679 Subscription Shares of 0.1 pence each with no voting rights. JPMorgan Smaller Companies Investment Trust plc does not hold any shares in Treasury.

Therefore, as at 30th September 2016, the total number of voting rights in JPMorgan Smaller Companies Investment Trust plc is 16,749,815.

The above figure (16,749,815) may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, JPM Smaller Companies Investment Trust plc under the FCA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
