§ Louise Hardy appointed to the board as an independent non-executive director

§ Stephen Pycroft steps down as a non-executive director

 

Sirius Minerals Plc (AIM: SXX, OTCQX: SRUXY) ("Sirius" or the "Company") announces a non-executive director change.

Louise Jane Hardy, 49, has joined the board. She has over 25 years' experience in the engineering sector. Louise currently has a part time executive role at Skanska, Civil Engineering UK and holds non-executive director roles at Ebbsfleet Development Corporation and Defence Infrastructure Organisation, both executive non-departmental public bodies sponsored by the Department for Communities and Local Government and the Ministry of Defence respectively. Prior to this she was European Project Excellence Director at Aecom.

Previously she worked for Laing O'Rourke, working as Infrastructure Director within CLM, which was the consortium delivery partner for the Olympic Delivery Authority for the London 2012 Olympics. Louise is a Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers and a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute.

Mr Stephen Gerard Pycroft has stepped down from the board after over two years of service to the Company due to increasing work commitments in his role as executive chairman of Mace.

Stephen Pycroft said:

"I'm proud to have been part of an exciting period at Sirius, during which time major steps forward have been achieved in the development of its North Yorkshire polyhalite project.

"Whilst I am disappointed to be leaving the Board at this exciting time, I have known Louise Hardy well since Mace's involvement in the delivery of the London Olympics and I am delighted to support her appointment to the Sirius Board.

"I intend to remain a shareholder in the company and look forward to acting in an advisory role where I can continue to work with the Board and management to help Sirius deliver this important project."

Directorships currently held by Louise Hardy are as follows:

• Defence Infrastructure Organisation

 

There is no further information regarding Louise Hardy that is required to be disclosed under Schedule Two, paragraph (g) (i)-(viii) of the AIM Rules for Companies.

The share options previously granted to Stephen Pycroft will lapse in accordance with the terms of the Company's Share Option Plan.
