Tristel PLC03 March 2008 For immediate release 3 March 2008 TRISTEL plc Supply agreement with BHT Hygienetechnik GmbH, Germany for a specialist washer-disinfector Tristel plc ("Tristel"), the AIM listed provider of infection and contaminationcontrol products, announces that it has entered into a supply agreement with BHTHygienetechnik GmbH ("BHT"), Augsburg, Germany for the supply ofwasher-disinfectors specially designed for the small endoscopes used in Ear,Nose and Throat (ENT) examination procedures. This manufacture and supply agreement supersedes a design and developmentagreement that the companies entered into in March 2007 under which BHTdeveloped the design for the washer to Tristel's specification. Commenting on the manufacturing and supply relationship with BHT, Paul Swinneyexplains: "In 2003 we launched the Tristel wipes system for the small diameter endoscopesused for nose and throat examinations. It has proven to be extremely successfulwith over 50% of all ENT departments in the country using the system. However,many of the hospitals that have not adopted the wipes system have expressed apreference for an automated decontamination process. The washer-disinfectorthat we have developed with BHT fits the bill. BHT is a world renownedmanufacturer of endoscope decontamination equipment."
