Issue of Equity

Avacta Group plc (the "Company") announces that 650,607 ordinary shares of 0.1p each ("Ordinary Shares") have been issued at a price of 1.316 pence per share pursuant to contractual obligations for services provided to the Company. 

Application has been made for 650,607 new Ordinary Shares to be admitted to trading on AIM and dealings are expected to commence on 24 December 2009.

The total number of Ordinary Shares in issue following the above issue will be 1,286,486,006.
