Sanctuary Group PLC11 February 2005 Notification of Major interests in shares The Sanctuary Group plc ("the Company") 11 February 2005 The Company was notified on 11 February 2005 that ING Bank Global Custody NV ("ING") acquired an interest in 925,000 of the ordinary shares of the Company on27 January 2005 (settlement 1 February 2005) with the result that ING now have abeneficial interest in the Company of 41,178,000 shares, being approximately12.1% of the issued share capital of the Company. ING hold these shares asnominee for Talpa Beheer B.V., a private company with limited liabilityincorporated in the Netherlands.
