Avanti Screenmedia Group PLC09 January 2007 Letter to: Avanti Screenmedia plc Dated: 9 January 2007 Disclosure of Interest in Shares pursuant to s198 and s202 of the Companies Act as amended, (the "Act") I hereby give notice that, following the placing to us of 1,172,301 ordinaryshares in Avanti Screenmedia plc, ("Avanti") on the 8 January 2007, Caledonia Investments plc ("Caledonia") is the beneficial holder of 5,587,301 ordinaryshares in Avanti Screenmedia plc, which represents 22.82% of the total issued ordinary share capital. All of the shares will be registered in the name of Caledonia Investments plc. By virtue of the provisions of Section 203 of the Companies Act 1985, TheCayzer Trust Company Limited, ("Cayzer Trust"), a substantial shareholder inCaledonia Investments plc, is also deemed to be interested in the above mentioned shares.
