Gemfields Resources Plc ("Gemfields" or "the Company", Ticker "GEM") received notification on 6 February 2009 from Rox Limited ("Rox") that on 5 February Rox purchased 1,650,000 shares of the Company's ordinary 1p shares at a price of 4.25p each. Following this transaction, Rox limited has a notifiable interest in 202,203,596 of the Company's ordinary 1p shares, amounting to approximately 62.4% of the Company's issued share capital.
