Edinburgh Oil & Gas PLC06 April 2005 Edinburgh Oil & Gas plc ("the Company") announces that it received notificationyesterday from Fidelity Investments that FMR Corp and its direct and indirectsubsidiaries and Fidelity International Limited ("FIL") and its direct andindirect subsidiaries, both being non-beneficial holders, have a notifiableinterest in 4,958,938 Ordinary Shares of 5p each in the Company representingapproximately 11.84% of the Company's issued share capital. The aforementionednotifiable interest also comprises the notifiable interest ofMr Edward C Johnson, a principal shareholder of FMR Corp and FIL.
