MAJOR INTERESTS IN SHARES

The Company has been advised by Artisan Partners L.P. that their indirect interest in Carpetright shares is now 3,358,107 shares, representing 4.99% of the issued share capital which is 67,217,556 shares.

The registered holders are State Street Bank, The Bank of New York, Mellon Trust, Brown Brothers Harriman and Northern Trust.

In addition, Artisan Investment Corporation, ZFIC Inc, AA Ziegler and CM Ziegler have a notifiable interest in these shares.
