Gemfields Plc ("Gemfields" or "the Company", Ticker "GEM") received notification on 4 December 2009 from Rox Limited ("Rox") that on 4 December Rox disposed of 24,529,957 of the Company's ordinary 1p shares. Following this transaction, Rox has an interest through direct ownership in a total of 196,403,639 shares which represents 60.60% of the ordinary shares of 1p in the Company.
