DIVIDEND DECLARATION

The board of directors of Dialight plc (the "Company") has confirmed that the holders of redeemable non-cumulative preference shares of 75 pence each ("B Shares") in the Company who are on the register at close of business on 27 November 2008 will be paid a dividend on 8 December 2008 of 1.62 pence per share (being 70 per cent. of six month LIBOR) in respect of the period from 1 July 2008 to 28 November 2008 (inclusive) in accordance with the rights attaching to the B Shares, as set out in the articles of association of the Company.
