The Company has received notification from Peter Wright, a Non Executive Director of its principal subsidiary Countrywide Assured plc, that he has purchased 20,000 Ordinary 5p shares, representing 0.02% of the shares in issue, on the 5th September 2008. The purchase was at a price of 138p. Following this transaction Peter Wright's holding is 20,000 shares, representing 0.02% of the shares in issue.
