Tangent Communications plc ("Tangent" or the "Company")

Tangent was notified on 12 February 2009 that Paul Murray, who is a non-executive director of Tangent, purchased 397,512 ordinary shares on that date in Tangent at a price of 2.5 pence per share.

After the transaction Paul Murray held an interest in 3,322,510 ordinary shares of 1p each in Tangent which represents approximately 2.0% of the company's issued ordinary share capital.

The Company has confirmed with the Panel on Takeovers and Mergers that Paul Murray is no longer part of the Concert Party, detailed in the Company's circular dated 26 February 2007.
