Following recent FSA clarification related to disclosure obligations in respect of the grant of security over shares by a director, Petrel Resources PLC ("the Company") announces that it has received notification that John Teeling, Chairman of the Company, has pledged 3,615,000 ordinary shares of €0.0125 each in the Company, representing approximately 5.00% of the Company's issued Shares as security against personal borrowings.
