The Company has been notified today that on 4 April 2011, Joe Darby, Non-Executive Director, acquired 50,000 ordinary shares of 0.5p each in the Company ("Ordinary Shares") as set out below. The acquisition was made at a price of 23.95 pence per Ordinary Share.
Following this purchase Joe Darby now has a beneficial interest in 50,000 Ordinary Shares in Alkane, representing 0.05% of the issued share capital.
