Directors' Share Transactions

Persimmon plc (the "Company") announces that on 6 April 2009 it was informed that on 3 April 2009 David Bryant, executive Director sold 1,850 shares in the Company at an average price of £3.94 per share and on the same day purchased 1,850 shares into an ISA at an average price of £3.962.

David Bryant also informed the Company that on 3 April 2009, his wife Daryl Bryant sold 2,040 shares in the Company at an average price of £4.00¼ per share and on the same day Mrs Bryant purchased 2,040 shares into an ISA at an average price of £4.01 per share. 

As a result of these transactions David Bryant and his wife remain interested in 524,778 shares or 0.17% of the issued share capital of the Company (excluding Treasury Shares).  

The issued share capital of the Company on 6 April 2009 (excluding shares held in Treasury) was 300,187,875 ordinary shares.
