The Company has been notified today that on 28 January 2009 the following Directors of the Company purchased 8.75% Cumulative Irredeemable Preference Shares of £1 each in the Company as follows:

The total number of 8.75% Preference Shares in issue is 12,500,000; the shares do not carry voting rights. All the Ordinary Voting Shares of the Company are held by
