Strategic Natural Resources PLC ('SNR'), announces that it has been informed that on 18 August 2008, Jeremy Metcalfe, the Company's Chief Executive, purchased 50,000 ordinary shares in the Company at the price of 20.25p per share.

Following this purchase, Jeremy Metcalfe, is now interested in 2,815,600 ordinary shares (including 15,600 ordinary shares held by Mrs C Metcalfe, Jeremy Metcalfe's wife)  representing 4.33% of the Company's total issued share capital.
