26 April 2013 - London, UK - Verona Pharma plc (AIM: VRP.L) (the "Company")wasnotified yesterday that Stuart Bottomley, non-executive Director of theCompany, acquired on 25 April, via his SIPP, 1,000,000 ordinary shares of 0.1peach in the Company ("Ordinary Shares") at a price of 2.15 pence per share.

As a result, Mr. Bottomley is now interested in 12,700,000 Ordinary Shares,representing approximately 3.8% of the Company's issued ordinary share capital.
