The Hotel Corporation plc ("HCP" or the "Company")

Transfer of Shares to Spouse

The Company has today been notified that Mr Barclay Douglas has today transferred 7,739 ordinary shares of 5 pence each in HCP into the name of his wife Mrs Helen Douglas for nil consideration.

Following the transfer, Mr Douglas' total holding of shares in HCP (including shares held in his wife's name) remained unchanged at 220,239 shares representing approximately 0.44% of the total issued shares in the Company.
