On 15 January 2013 3i Group plc (the "Company") was notified that on 10 January 2013 Sir Adrian Montague, the Chairman of the Board (and a Director and person discharging managerial responsibilities), acquired 688 ordinary shares of 73 19/22p each in the Company ("Shares") at a price of 230.35p per Share. These Shares were acquired under a dividend reinvestment plan following payment of the Company's final dividend.

The place of this transaction was the London Stock Exchange.
