Andes Energia PLC26 October 2007 26 October 2007 Andes Energia plc (the "Company") Director's shareholding The Company today received notification that as a result of the acquisition bythe Company of Hidroelectrica del Sur S.A. announced on 15 October 2007,companies controlled by Michael Stevens (Executive Chairman of the Company) arenow interested in an additional 642,083 ordinary shares of 10 pence each (the"Shares"). Following this transaction, companies controlled by Mr. Stevens have a directinterest in 6,784,250 Shares, representing approximately 6.31 per cent. of theCompany's issued share capital. In addition, a company controlled by Mr. Stevenshas an indirect economic interest in a further 3.11 per cent. of the Company'sissued share capital.
