Director's share purchase

On 26 October 2009 Peter Johnson, a director and the chairman of The Rank Group Plc ("Rank"), notified Rank (under the obligations imposed by paragraph DTR 3.1.2 R of the FSA's Disclosure & Transparency Rules) that, on 23 October 2009, he purchased 3,334 ordinary 13 8/9p shares in Rank at a price of 88.64p per share, thereby increasing his notifiable beneficial share interest to 48,334 ordinary shares, representing 0.01% of the total number of shares currently in issue 390,529,314.
