Directors' Shareholdings

On 19 December 2008, Persimmon plc (the "Company") was informed that on that day Persimmon (Share Scheme Trustees) Limited had purchased 105,000 ordinary shares in the Company at an average price of 240.2p. The shares were purchased in respect of conditional awards for Directors under the Company's Bonus Share Scheme.  As a result of this purchase, Persimmon (Share Scheme Trustees) Limited holds 105,638 shares in the Company representing 0.04% of the issued share capital (excluding Treasury Shares). 

The issued share capital of the Company on 19 December 2008 was 300,187,691 ordinary shares, excluding Treasury Shares.
