On 3 April 2013, Persimmon plc (the "Company") was informed that on that day Persimmon (Share Scheme Trustees) Limited purchased 66,000 ordinary shares in the Company at an average price of 1066.85p for an employee benefit trust. The shares were purchased by the employee benefit trust for the Company's Bonus Share Scheme. Each of the executive directors of the Company is a potential participant under the Bonus Share Scheme and is therefore regarded as having a notional interest in these shares.

Following this purchase, Persimmon (Share Scheme Trustees) Limited holds 131,737 shares in the Company representing 0.04% of the issued share capital.

The issued share capital of the Company on 4 April 2013 was 302,931,314 ordinary shares.
