Ecclesiastical Insurance Office PLC04 October 2006 Announcement by Ecclesiastical Insurance Office plc The directors are pleased to announce that Mr. Michael Tripp, BSc, FIA, has beenappointed to succeed Graham Doswell as Group Chief Executive from 1st January2007 and to the Board as an executive director from the same date. Theseappointments are subject to regulatory approval. Michael Tripp is currently aPartner of Ernst & Young LLP with responsibility for the firm's Property andCasualty actuarial team for the UK company market. He has had more than 30years' experience in the insurance industry, previously holding senior positionsat Guardian Royal Exchange. Graham Doswell has spent over 44 years in the insurance industry and more than22 years with the Company, having been its chief executive since November 1997.He will retire from executive office and from the Board on 31st December 2006,but will remain with the Company for a handover period.
