Proton Power Systems plc (AIM: PPS), the designer, developer and producer of fuel cells and fuel cell electric hybrid systems, announces the following Directorate changes:

The Board is pleased to announce the appointments of Sebastian Goldner as Director Customer Project Management and Service and Manfred Limbrunner as Director Sales and Marketing, both with effect from 19 February 2018. Both Sebastian and Manfred will also join the Board as Directors.

 

Sebastian, aged 37, has over 10 years' experience in the design and construction of mobile, maritime and stationary fuel cell applications. His experience is based on various leadership positions in sales & marketing, project management and development within the Proton organisation. Currently, Sebastian is responsible for all customer projects and customer service. Sebastian studied engineering computer science with a focus on electrical engineering at the University of Paderborn. As part of his studies, he wrote his diploma thesis at Infineon Technologies in Munich.

Manfred, aged 48, joined the Proton organization in November 2000 as a design engineer and project manager for various mobile and maritime projects. In the initial years he was also responsible for the systems engineering and registration of Proton´s Fuel Cell Hybrid Systems. As the organisation developed further, he formed and led the design department, played a significant role in implementing the quality management system and in October 2009 moved to product management, until he was appointed as CTO in March 2011. By November 2016 he took over the newly founded Mobility Business Unit and is now responsible for Sales and Marketing.

Prior to joining Proton, Manfred Limbrunner worked for 5 years in the pulp & paper plant engineering business. His main duties and responsibilities were in the design of complex plant sub assembly groups, supervising their mounting through external suppliers, plant engineering, customer support, supervising the mounting team as well as project management.

Manfred Limbrunner studied mechanical engineering with a focus on design at the University of Applied Sciences in Kempten and started his career at Hoerbiger Fluidtechnik GmbH in 1995.

 

Neither Sebastian nor Manfred currently hold, directly or indirectly, any Ordinary Shares in the Company.

 

With the exception of these disclosures, there are no other disclosures required in relation to Rule 17 or paragraph (g) of Schedule 2 of the AIM rules for companies.

 

Commenting on the changes, Faiz Nahab, CEO of Proton, said:
